INCARNATE: moodboard analysis

The moodboard design for our groups final film (incarnate):

As seen above, our predominant goal was to be able to convey through our moodboard a horror genre effect, with an eerie aura and dark theme.

Our colour palette consisted of primarily red tones and shades as the main setting for our film had a red backdrop aswell.

Another thing that is seen in the moodboard is a wine glass, which was an item we used for a short in our film, and goes well with our colour scheme.

The photo with the reflection and the splitting face show a split personality, or a copy which directly associates with the theme that we wanted to portray, which was the theme of a doppleganger.

A doppleganger is a clone or a copy of a person, who is in many depictions shown to be a supernatural and evil version or an alter ego of a person.

Another thing that is shown is a bloody knife, which can signify evil too, as it is a weapon covered in blood which was used to murder someone.
