Shoot one- worli koliwada

Our first shoot, a learning lesson

Our location was chosen to be worli koliwada, a Famous tourist spot and a local fishing area for fisherman to fish all day.

The Worli Koliwada facelift is intended to blend seamlessly with the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, the planned coastal road and Worli Fort to create a unique aesthetic view to attract tourists.

Theme

We were trying to show a day in the life of a hardworking fisherman and get their perspective on how things are for them, hardships faced by them, and what their life is like.

Location

We chose this particular location, as it perfectly portrayed the theme we were trying to capture the side of Mumbai, that is not often displayed or given exposure by media.

This location was visually perfect for our documentary, from a cinematic point of view and even an aesthetical point of view.

Plan

My teammate Meit kanal and I went for a recce a week before our actual shoot. This was when we decided the location, shots and framing compositions for our film which was planned to be a documentary. We found a local fisherman, and told him about our plan, and he agreed to voice the documentary. We then exchanged contacts for our plan and were done for the day.
